25/01/2018 - “Legal Awareness Programme on account of National Voter's Day”

“Legal Awareness Programme on account of National Voter's Day” was organized by Mysore District Legal Services Authority, Lawyer's Association® and NIE First Grade College, Mysore. Sri Mohammed Mujirulla C G, Senior Civil Judge and Secretary, District Legal Service Authority, Mysore was the Chief Guest for the function. Sri Renuka Aradhya, Police Inspector, Cyber crime branch, Mysore was the resource person, Smt.Subha R, Volunteer, District Legal Services Authority, and Mysore was also the guest for the function. Sri T K Chittarangan, Director, NIE Management, Mysore was the presided the function and Smt.Suma B A, principal, NIE First Grade College, Mysore was also present in the function. Sri Mohammed Mujirulla C G, Chief Guest of the programme addressed the students about the importance of “National Voter's Day” and everyone took the oath on account of national voter's day. Sri Mohammed Mujirulla C G, addressed the gathering and gave the importance of ‘District Legal Services Authority, Lawyer's Association’. Sri Renuka Aradhya, resource person for ‘Cyber Crime Social Media’ gave valuable information on how cyber crime can occur in social media networking with real life examples and how to overcome on it. The program concluded with ‘National Anthem’.

24/01/2018 - Report On Industrial Visit

The Department of Commerce organized industrial visit, where 42 students, four faculties along with tour operator Mrs. Manjula visited the Dairy Classic Pvt. Ltd. and The Printer’s Mysuru Pvt. Ltd. We reached the Dairy Classic Pvt. Ltd., the students where first taken to stores department, gone through different kinds of packing materials, method of labeling, basic input raw materials used to prepare Ice Cream and Chocolate Syrup. Later moved to production department where they saw different lines of productions of Cup ice-cream, family packing, cone ice-cream and Candy making. Mr. Prakash, HR Manager of Dairy Classic interacted with students. Later visited the Printer’s Mysore Pvt. Ltd., where Mr. Srinivas, HR manager gave brief explanation about process of printing, materials they use, how they collect information, how contents are designed, and strength of employees, how many branches they have and their turn over.

19/01/2018 - ‘Dental Checkup and Awareness Camp’

‘Dental Checkup and Awareness Camp’ was organized by NSS committee for college students. The main objective of the camp was to provide basic dental health education to the students and motivate dental hygiene. Dr. Girija and Dr. Deepika, dental doctor from Smile Maker Dental Clinic, Kuvempunagar, Mysore, did diagnostic check-up and following which the required treatment was explained for students.

10/01/2018 - A Talk on “CYBER ETHICS”

YOUTH RED CROSS WING organized an awareness programme on “CYBER ETHICS - Pornography” given by the Team RESCUE108, NGO Trust, Mysuru. The members addressed the students in separate panels for boys and girls about the illegal activities happening and their effects in the society due to the influence of Internet and Mobile misuse, Rape and Abuse, Human Trafficking and the Poison of Pornography. The team gave the surveyed information of such victims and the problems faced by them.

an Awareness programme on Adolescence Education Programme arranged by Kanada Science Forum of NIE FGC Mysore. Smt. Nandini P, Psychologist JSS Hospital Mysuru gave a talk on Adolescence Education Programme. The talk was very educative and informative.

Department of Mathematics has organized a technical talk “The art of learning – Why Mathematics” for B.Sc. students by Sri. Krishna Murthy B S. He explained that Mathematics is not a subject but it’s a language and to the students how we can connect mathematics to our daily life. He also showed some models and books to the students and explained the simple methods of learning Calculus. He

The placement cell of the college organized for B.Com students an innovative session on “Corporate Finance and Derivatives” by Dr. Alok chhaser, Corporate Trainer, Times Professional Learning. He has expertise in Financial Markets, Derivatives and Wealth Management. He highlighted “Market value and Derivative Concepts” like seller and buyer roles and their agreements in a business transactions.

27/10/2017 - One Day Workshop - “Passion – Unleash Your Personality”

The Business Leadership Forum of Bhavan’s Priyamvada Birla Institute of Management had organized a workshop on “Passion – Unleash Your Personality” . The resource person was Jayaprakash Nagathihalli , reknowed motivational guru, TV host, author and mentor. 12 Students along with 2 faculty members and principal attended the program.

28/09/2017 - Inauguration of Alumni Association Office

Inaugural of Alumni Association Office was held at college Seminar Hall. Dr. G. S. Subramanyam, Former Principal of NIE FGC was the Chief Guest, Sri. S. L. Ramachandra, Director, NIE MC, Presided over the function. Smt. Suma B. A., Principal of NIE FGC, Sri. Prashanth M., President, Sri Ajay, Secretary and Sri Harsha, Joint Secretary of Alumni Association were also present on the dais.

26/09/2017 - Book Fair / Exhibition on competitive examinations & English literature

The Book Fair / Exhibition on competitive examinations & English literature was held at college library corridor. The exhibition was organized by Library in association with Global Agencies, Mysore. Smt. Suma B. A., Principal, inaugurated the exhibition. The exhibition was mainly focused on the books of competitive examinations & English literature. There were more than 200 different titles of books exhibited on the occasion. Sri G. S. Ramachandra, Hon. Secretary, NIE MC, was also took part in the exhibition.
